Hampshire Forklift Training...
...are located in east Hampshire, though we will travel to your premises anywhere in the UK to deliver on-site training.
On-site training can sometimes be regarded as an advantage as it allows the trainee to not only familiarise themselves with their working environment but also with the type of machine they will be operating back in the workplace.
Training Centres
We have 4000 sq ft of training facilities at our training centres located in Hampshire, Sussex and Essex which are fully accredited to provide operator and instructor training.
Our training centres are fully equipped with heating, air conditioned training room, kitchen facilities, ample parking and of course a large area for practical training with all aspects of forklift driving operations available.
The training centre is ideal for individuals who require a forklift certificate in order to increase their chance of employment, a career change or just wishing to enhance their professional portfolio or CV.
We are in communication with and can point you in the right direction to several employment agencies and large companies who are often looking for professional forklift operators.
The centres are also used by many companies who perhaps do not have enough space on their site to allow for forklift practical training or may even find it difficult to free up their own forklift throughout the day for training use.
For private paying individuals we offer the following options :
Option 1 - Counterbalance forklift truck
Option 2 - Reach lift truck
Option 3 - Counterbalance and reach truck
Hampshire Forklift Training delivers professional accredited training in the safe operation and driving of Lift Trucks, Access Platforms (Cherry-Picker, Scissor Lifts), Telescopic Handlers, Lorry Mounted Cranes (HIAB), and other specialist working machinery and equipment.

Accreditation
We are accredited by the RTITB, who are recognised by the Health and Safety Executive and Health and Safety Authority as competent to operate accreditation schemes for Lift Truck Operator and Instructor training.
As an RTITB accredited training provider we are monitored 3 times yearly to ensure we are maintaining our high standards set down by the RTITB.
All of our instructors are all RTITB registered and equally work to the same high standards; they too are monitored throughout the year.
We are also accredited with the AITT - the UK's fastest growing accrediting body for workplace transport training.
About the RTITB
RTITB Limited is recognised throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland (HSENI) and the Health and Safety Authority (HSA)
They have over 40 years experience of setting training standards, accreditation and monitoring.
The RTITB accreditation schemes are supported by legal requirements for training; the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 prescribes a legal duty to provide adequate training and instruction to all their employees. This is reinforced by the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 which states that all persons using work equipment must be trained, including the methods of using equipment, any risks and precautions to be taken. Though accreditation schemes are not "mandatory, recognition by the HSE is intended to help set and maintain professional training standards and aid employers in selecting training organisations or lift-truck suppliers who offer a good standard of training" (ACOP L117).
Their accreditation schemes and standards are guided by the Approved Code of Practice for Rider-operated lift trucks: Operator training (ACOP L117).
About the AITT
AITT are the only membership ran accrediting body in our industry, and proudly operate solely as a non-profit making organisation. Their purpose is to provide and maintain the highest training standards for operators, instructors, tutors and examiners, delivering training on all types of workplace transport and material handling equipment.
Using the guidance set out in the HSE Approved Code of Practice (ACoP L117), AITT publishes guidance for the training of operators and instructors. They also ensure that our training providers are adequately audited, and their courses are externally verified, ensuring that training is being provided correctly to our standards.
The AITT council, to who help steer AITT into the future, consist of elected members who have been successfully nominated to represent their voice and opinion to AITT’s network. They consist of industry experts, from lift truck manufacturers, H&S representatives, training organisations, and instructors.
